Retaliation

Retaliation is adverse action by the employer which affects the terms and conditions of employment. Such adverse action can include a reduction in wage, a demotion, or a termination. Retaliation often occurs when management discovers the employee has engaged in protected activity such as reporting unsafe conditions to a supervisor or where the employee has formally filed a WISHA complaint regarding safety issues at work. These are examples of protected activities and retaliation which follows that activity is unlawful.

If you believe that you or a loved have been retaliated against for your opposition to unsafe or unlawful activity you may be entitled to compensation.

Keep in mind that there are applicable statutes of limitation which are laws creating time limits on your right to pursue legal redress for any unlawful behavior by your employer, so do not delay. Contact an attorney as soon as possible.
